Shared Hosting vs VPS: Which One Does Your Business Actually Need?

One of the most common questions we get is simple: "should I get shared hosting or a VPS?" The honest answer depends on what your website actually needs, not on which sounds more impressive.
Shared hosting: good for most business websites
Shared hosting means your website lives on a server alongside other websites, sharing resources. It is more affordable and perfectly reliable for a standard business website with normal traffic, like a company profile site, a small e-commerce shop, or a blog.
VPS: for when you need more control
A VPS (Virtual Private Server) gives you a dedicated slice of a server with guaranteed resources. It is the right choice when you run a custom application, expect high or unpredictable traffic, or need specific server configuration that shared hosting cannot offer.
A real example: a client running a standard company website was fine on shared hosting for two years. When they launched a booking system with real-time availability checks, we moved them to a VPS to handle the extra load without slowdowns.
